When you visit
Your browser keeps a random id (in local storage, not a cookie) so we can count visitors. We record the pages you view, the steps you take in the checker (such as checking a quote or copying the message) and the site that sent you. With each record we keep a scrambled code made from your IP address and the date. It changes every day and can't be turned back into the address. There are no ads and no third-party trackers.
When you check a quote
- Photos and PDFs are sent to Anthropic's Claude model to read the lines, then dropped. We don't store them.
- Pasted text is read in your browser. If the browser can't find the lines, the text goes to the same reader.
- We keep the lines of each quote you check: the labels and amounts, the car, the dealer's name and city, and your city. We use them to see which fees dealers charge. We don't keep your name, street address, phone number, email or license number.
What we never do
We never contact a dealer for you, sell or share your data, or show ads.
